Richard Ochoa, 43, passed away on August 12, 2005.
Richard was born on June 3, 1962 in Burley, Idaho to Ysidro and Virginia Ochoa. Richard was educated in Burley, Idaho. He later attended Continental College of Beauty in Caldwell, Idaho. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1994 and had resided there since. Richard never married, but helped with a lot of nieces and nephews. Richard had one baby of his own, his dog Ivy, who loved him and was loved in return.
Richard's kindness, generosity, and compassion will forever live in all of us. Richard was a man of great faith and started every day with a prayer and a smile. Richard enjoyed cooking, camping, and spending time with family and friends and Richard had lots of wonderful friends. Richard had the most wonderful sense of humor and was always laughing and making others laugh. Prior to his illness, Richard was employed by Tropical Heating and Air Conditioning. Richard is survived by his baby, his best friend and companion Ivy. He is also survived by three sisters; Belia Ochoa of Caldwell, ID, Gloria Villasenor of Burley, ID and Sylvia (Dale) Miller of Boise, ID, brothers; Pablo (Kerma) Ochoa of Burley, ID, Roy (Sandy) Ochoa of Tulare, CA. and David Ochoa of Arizona, sister-in-law Rosie Ochoa of Burley, ID, and several dozen nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Richard is also survived by his two best friends, who were with him always, Mashell Saldana and Ruben Curiel. Preceded in death by his father and his mother whom he lovingly cared for until her passing, two brothers; Ramon and Noe, and one nephew Rudy. Richie was more than an uncle, he was a friend, brother and advisor.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 715 W. 300 S., Salt Lake City.
