I have yet to put in the proper dates for my cousin Frank. I was about 6 or so when he passed. He was 15 when he died. He drove one of those icecream bicycles and would come by our house constantly and knowing my mom couldn't afford icecream as they struggled in our early years, he would sit us up on his bike one at a time, let us ring the bells and then pick an icecream of our choice. His involvement in our life was brief but I have never forgotten his loving heart, in giving to us and involving us in his life. He was with another employee in the icecream truck, (which was like a post office truck with no door on the passengers side), and his friend took the corner to fast and he fell out and the truck overturned on him. We understood he died, but were so young I don't think we really knew what that meant and that it was that we weren't going to see him for a long long time. My parents were heartbroken as was his family obviously, but my dad was the Uncle he was named after. His family loved him dearly and he was one of thirteen children. His giving nature is instilled in all our hearts and his smiie as well. He was always so polite and didn't have many bad things to say about anyone from what I remember. I know that he is in heaven and that he is actively in our lives as I do feel his presence sometimes which is wonderful and I can't wait until I start to feel that with my brother Joe. Joe loved Frank to and always fondly remembered the icecream treats as well. Now they are together and i'm sure enjoying their reunion. I will have posted the proper dates within the next couple of days. I have to make a trip to the cemetary anyway to see Joe and my Uncles and Grandmother and just make rounds which I try to do once a month. The dates will be updated then for his birth and death. I'm usually good with dates but being about six when he passed, memories not that good! Love to you Frank and miss you as does all your family. You were a great young man!
