Ralph Davis Beach was born on April 1, 1886, in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Son of Maxwell K. Beach and Anna Margaret "Annie" Davis, he was the brother of Robert George, Roy, Mary, Grace, Cora, Raymond Andrew, Emma Elizabeth (Sister M. Finian, IHM), Earl (infant), Sarah (Sister M. Marcellina, IHM) and Merrill Joseph. He registered for the WWI draft in 1918 and at that time was employed as a grocer in Altoona, PA. He was joined in marriage with Alice Byrnes on January 28, 1909 in Altoona, by Reverend Morgan M. Sheedy. They were the parents of two daughters, Regina and Dorothy (Sister M. Gillet, IHM). By 1950, he was employed as a cashier in a restaurant in Bethesda, Maryland. Ralph died in 1962, and was buried in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Forest Glen, Maryland.
