Victoria was reported missing by her family in 2004. Her remains were found and identified through dental records provided by the family when they reported her missing. Her remains were found intact in a grave 18 inches deep in the New Mexico desert west of Albuquerque.

Bones from the another ten bodies were scattered across a 100-square-foot area recently leveled by bulldozers building a housing community.

Lorenzo Montoya lived less than two miles from the burial site; in 2006 there were reportedly tire tracks leading from his trailer to the site. In December 2006, Montoya strangled a teenage girl at his trailer; he was shot to death by the girl's boyfriend.

Skeletal remains found in February of 2009, along with those of at least two other females, on the West Mesa of Albuquerque. Born about 1984, she had probably been killed about the time she was reported missing by her mother.
