Winifred Pifer (Winfield Piper)
Winifred Pifer, son of Photographer S. B. Pifer, died Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock at the home of his father on Main street. The deceased was aged 26 years and had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for the past year. Even in the last stages of the disease he was able to be on the streets and did not take to his bed until Saturday. His father and one brother, Edwin Pifer, of Sharon, survive. Funeral services will be held at the house on the second floor of the Fredericks building, this afternoon at 2 o’clock. The remains will be interred in Highland cemetery.

60 YEARS AGO. PHOTOGRAPHER S. B. PIPER, having leased all of the second floor of the Frederick's building in which his photograph gallery was situated, was having changes made to provide 2,500 feel of floor space, for dark rooms and rooms for finishing and printing.
