Brinson of Ruth, Kentucky; his wife, Hazel Meece; his children, Sam Brinson, Elwin Brinson, Ola Mae Stoute, Brenda Ward, Marcella Hargis, and Melissa Brinson, all of Somerset, Kentucky; his siblings, Arnold Brinson of Fairfield, Ohio, Alonzo W. Brinson of Mt. Carmel, Ohio, Leo Brinson of Science Hill, Kentucky, Starland Brinson of Science Hill, Kentucky, Garland Brinson of Somerset, Kentucky, Cecil Brinson of Somerset, Kentucky, Janet Woodall of White Lily, Pulaski County, Kentucky, and Margaret Hall of Ferguson, Kentucky; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on on December 21, 1981 at the White Lily Baptist Church
