Civil War Veteran. Served with Company F, 11th Ohio Cavalry.The 7th and 6th Ohio Cavalry were combined to form the 11th Ohio Cavalry on December 1, 1861. The 11th was assigned to Ft. Laramie in Wyoming Territory. The 11th protected wagon roads and escorted mail riders, in addition to conducting operations against hostile Indians. The 11th was mustered out of service on July 14, 1866.
