Lennie Obert, infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Len Obert, who live on Flannigan's Island, about nine miles above this city, died yesterday. The remains were brought to this city today and will be interred in Woodland cemetery tomorrow."

"The funeral services over the remains of Lennie Obert, the child who died on Flannigan's Island, Thursday, were held at Messick's undertaking rooms at 10 o'clock this morning."

Note: Lennie Obert, a baby just over a year old, drowned, in the Mississippi River, just off of Obert Island. "Flannigan Island" was the island's original name, before the Oberts bought it. Perhaps some still called it by its old name, or at times, forgot its new one. The Oberts sold the island in about 1904 or 1905.
