Warren "Pucky" Fitzgerald died Friday, July 9, 1982, in Kenner, when the airplane he was on crashed due to wind shear during a storm. He was 56, a native and lifelong resident of Addis. He was a Kaiser Aluminum analyst and an Addis alderman. He was former mayor of Addis and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Hilda Breaux Fitzgerald; and three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Shirley Fitzgerald) Pinell, Plaquemine, Mrs. Greg (Mamie Fitzgerald) Borne and Paula Fitzgerald, both of Addis; two sons, Michael and Andrew Fitzgerald, both of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Norwood "Buster" Fitzgerald, Addis, and Beaura "Bay" Fitzgerald, Baton Rouge; a granddaughter, Jessica Borne, Addis.
He was a member of American Legion Post 167, Plaquemine and VFW Post 3785, Addis.
