Actor. He attended Dartmouth College, and was acting in summer stock at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania, when he was discovered by an agent. In 1961, he made his way to New York and made his stage debut in the original Broadway production of 'A Man for All Seasons' followed by appearances in 'Twelfth Night' (1963), 'After the Rain' (1967), 'A Scent of Flowers' (1969) and 'Four Friends' (1975). He was cast as a regular on daytime television as Dr. Dan Stewart on 'As the World Turns' (1966-73 and 1976-79) and appeared in several television shows and made-for-TV movies such as 'From These Roots', 'Hart to Hart', 'The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo', 'Capitol', 'Falcon Crest', 'An Innocent Love' and 'Strangers in the Homeland'. Colenbeck died from complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
