Obituary from the Modesto Bee (Modesto, California) - Tuesday, 27 April 1971:

"PATTERSON - Army Spec 4 Leonard Reza, 20, has become the fourth Patterson man to die in Vietnam. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alejandro Reza, yesterday were informed that he had died in action Thursday. Details were not available.

Reza, a native of Patterson, was a 1969 graduate of Patterson High School. He entered the service in January, 1970, and had been in Vietnam since September. He was assigned to Company B, 3rd Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division.

While in high school, Reza was editor of the newspaper, president of the Mexican-American Students Association, junior United Nations delegate, and member of art, camera and drama clubs. He was elected as representative to the Stanlslaus County Community Action Commission at 18.

He also leaves four brothers: Armando, Manuel, John and Michael; six sisters: Amelia, Carmen, Luisa, Connie, Alexis and Bertha."
