Manuel Rios Reza, a well known Patterson resident who had lived bee for 55 years. died Saturday at Modesto Convalescent Hospital following a long illness. He was 67. He was a native of Brawley and had worked at Del Don Farms for 34 years as a ranch foreman.

He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a past member of the Patterson Lions Club. Over the years he closely followed the athletic activities of his three sons and then his grandchildren.

A vigil service is slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, where a Mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.

Burial in Patterson District Cemetery will follow.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Hillview Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Ron and Eric Reza, all of Patterson; 10 grandchildren; his father, Alejandro V. Reza, of Patterson; three brothers, Armando of Modesto, John of Patterson and Michael Reza of Riverbank; and six sisters, Amelia Reza, Connie Gonzales, and Aleandrina Reza Smith, all of Patterson, Luisa Gonzales of Modesto, Carmen Carswell of Florida and Bertha Martin of Bakersfield.

He was preceded in death in early January by his wife Priscilla.
