To the Memory of Daniel Eyre, Esq., of this Close,
Who departed this life on the 18th of April, 1836,
In the 68th year of his Age.
"Herein do I exercise myself to have always a
conscience void of offence toward God and toward men". Acts 24, V.16
This tablet is placed here, near his grave, by his afflicted Widow,
in remembrance of a faithful and beloved Husband,
and most exemplary father.
