JOHN JACOBOSKI

In failing health the past few months, John P. Jacoboski, 68, of 1010 18th St.,
Two Rivers, a World War 1 overseas veteran in the Engineer Corps, died at U.S.
Veterans Hospital, Wood, Wis., early Thursday morning. He had been a patient
at the hospital since Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Deja & Martin Funeral
Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev.
Joseph Gabryszek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Jacoboski was born at Manitowoc on June 24, 1886, a son of the late Peter and
Frances Basolick Jacoboski. He attended St. Mary Parochial School until he was 10
years old when the family brought him to a farm in the Town of Two Rivers. In
early manhood he sailed the Great Lakes and also was employed on dredges in harbor
construction. He entered World War I early in 1918 and served in France for a
year. After the war he returned to Two Rivers and for a number of years worked at
the C. Reiss Coal Co., and later for six years worked at the Hamilton Mfg. Co.,
retiring two years ago.
Surviving are his wife; the former Julia Washowich of Edgar Wis., whom he married
in December of 1917; a daughter, Eunice Jacoboski at home; three sisters, Mrs.
Frank Zboralske of Manitowoc, Mrs. Walter Wrobel of South Bend Ind., and Mrs.
Walter Allie of Two Rivers, and a brother Anton Jacoboski of Manitowoc. A son,
Kenneth, lost his life in the Navy in World War II.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 2 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will
be recited at 8 p.m.
