Professional Basketball Player. He was a third round draft pick by the Baltimore Bullets but never played for them. He played at the guard position in the NBA with the Boston Celtics for one season (1951 to 1952). A standout collegiate at North Carolina State, Dickey was a second team All-American and helped them to the NCAA Final Four in 1950. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005. He played in 45 career games, scoring 127 points with the Celtics.
