Frances Johnson Anderson, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence under the care of her family and Hospice of South Georgia. She was born January 6, 1936 in the Donald Community of Long County to Harry and Dolly Purcell Johnson and lived in Long and Wayne county most of her life. She was a homemaker, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Pigott Branch Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Alvin “Poor Boy” Anderson. She is survived by: Children: James Edwin (Brenda) Anderson of Jesup, Georgia Gloria (Barry) Flowers of Jesup, Georgia Allene Anderson Needham of Odom, Georgia Brothers: Thurman (Peggy) Johnson Darvin Johnson, all of Glennville, Georgia Sister: Shirley Porter Driggers of Glennville, Georgia Grandchildren: Erika (Josh) Cazares, Edwin Anderson, Jr. and Ashlyn Needham Great-Grandchildren: Jadalynn Ginn, Jonathan Ginn, Jocelyn Cazares and Logan Anderson Special care-givers: Janet Tyre, RN, Leslie Mackey and Jamie Hand. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015, at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bobby Parker, Jimmy Parker, Billy Parker, Josh Cazares, Gene Reddish, Hugh M. Reddish.
