G. Clifford Langtry, 55, a well known brick mason, was killed in an automobile accident at about 2 a.m. Sunday, on M-47 north near the Goss school. A heart attack is believed to have been the cause of the tragedy. He was alone at the time. Mr. Langtry was driving to his home in New Haven Township after visiting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Howe Jr., North Park street and other places during the evening.

Funeral services will be held at the Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso.

Mr. Langtry was born in Roxand Township, Eaton County, Mich., on March 20, 1897, the son of Samuel and Ada (Soules) Langtry. He attended the Diamond school and had lived most of his life in and near Owosso. George died August 10, 1952 in Rush, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

He was married to Miss Alice Kirby in Corunna on June 29, 1918, the daughter of John Wagner Kirby and Julia Ann Sheldon Kirby, she died on July 7, 1946 and on November 3, 1947 he was married to Mrs. Jane (Jack) McAuley in Flint.

Surviving are his wife, his aged mother and daughter, Mrs. John (Fern) Howe Jr., of Owosso; two sons, John C. and Marvin Langtry of Owosso; one brother Carl of Indiana, one sister, Mrs. Fannie Spitzer of Perry and two grandchildren
