Mrs. Shirley Parker Atkins, 63, of Canton passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at Kindred Hospital Rome.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until 10:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Atkins worked as a dietician, caterer and secretary. She was a devout Christian who enjoyed singing, playing music and working in her flower garden.
Survivors include her children, Leticia (Nick) Wyatt and Keith R. Atkins; lifelong companion, Randle Atkins; siblings, Deborah (Joey) Rakestraw and Joel (Lisa) Parker; grandchildren, Heidi Atkins and Axel Atkins; nephews, Jesse Parker and Austin Blanton; nieces, Casey Parker and Mona Willoughby.
