Harvey Colton, brother of Quintus Colton, son of Deacon Walter Colton and Thankful Cobb. B. 26 Oct 1793, Rutland, Vermont. d. 25 Sept 1870, Georgia, Vermont. Married Harriet Fairchild, of Georgia Vt. 1 Sept. 1825. She was b. 30 March, 1802, Georgia, Vermont and died 14 May 1881.

"He was a prominent town officer in Georgia, and for a number of years the leading Justice of Peace there;not one of his decisions was ever reversed by a higher court."
