He was born Sept. 10, 1930 in Kentucky, the son of the late Culbert and Nancy Thomas, both of Greensburg. He had retired from the United States Air Force in June, 1971, and moved to Lancaster, Calif., in 1972 and worked at the Lockheed Aircraft in Palmdale, Calif. He continued his career at Rockwell International B1-B Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, and retired from there in November, 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Ann LaBarbera Thomas, Lancaster, Calif., a daughter, Yolanda, Lancaster, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, Master Sgt. and Mrs. Michael Thomas, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Shelby Bockover, Greensburg and Nina Mozingo, Florida; two brothers, Richard Thomas, Greensburg; and Gerald Thomas, Florida, and two grandchildren.
