Mrs. Marie Springer Applebaum, widow of Jack Applebaum and former resident of Memphis, died in Blytheville, AR following a year's illness. She was stricken with paralysis and had been a patient at hospitals in Memphis and Rochester, MN. She was 42.


Born in Atlanta, she moved with her family to Memphis a number of years ago, where she was married in 1921. She moved to Blytheville 20 years ago, when her husband established a department store, which she continued to operate after his death five year ago.


She leaves her son, Jack Applebaum; her mother, Mrs. L. Springer; two brothers, Sam and Harry Springer; four sisters, S. J. Seligman, Miss Esther and Miss Helen Springer, all of Memphis, and Mrs. E.M. Jaffe, Osceola, AR.
