Jean S. Kissinger-Pfeiffer, age 95, formerly of Kiel and a resident of Libby's House, Chilton, died Friday, July 3, 2015. She was the former Jean Schultz, born May 13, 1920 in Chilton, daughter of the late Wendel & Twilah (Adams) Schultz. Jean was a 1937 graduate of Chilton High School. On September 22, 1945 she married Lloyd “Mike” Kissinger. Jean and Lloyd owned & operated Kiel Bottle Works were she worked in the office until her retirement. Lloyd preceded her in death on October 4, 1982. After Lloyd's death Jean was able to reconnect with her childhood sweetheart, Ralph Pfeiffer, and they were married in Denver, Co on July 29, 1988. Ralph preceded her in death on April 25, 2007. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kiel and a member of the choir. Jean enjoyed counted cross stitch, creating wonderful treasures for her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Richard) Thomson, step daughter, Lynnette Pfeiffer, step son, Tom Pfeiffer and grandchildren, Michael Thomson and Matthew (Katie) Thomson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her son, Michael Kissinger, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services for Jean will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, July 6, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, 627 6th St. Kiel with Pastor Cheryl Lepak officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:30 pm until the time of service.
