Maxine L. Acuff, age 85, Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

Born November 10, 1929, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Caylus and Nettie LaBounty Harrison.

She was married to William Acuff, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Maxine had been employed in the kitchen at Amelios and as a receptionist at Area V Senior Citizens Center.

Maxine enjoyed traveling, painting statuettes, solving jigsaw and word puzzles, making attractive holiday wreathes and watching humming birds.

Surviving are a son, John Acuff; daughters, Deborah Sullivan, Kathy Allen and Sharon Greenen; sister, Marlene Hall and brother, William Harrison; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; friend, Trudy Baker, Lafayette.

Three brothers, Caylus Harrison, Jr., Jerry Lee Harrison, and John Lee “Jackie” Harrison, preceded her in death.

Funeral July 7, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim McKaig officiating.

Visitation prior to the funeral, also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Clymers Cemetery.
