Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been residents of Winfield for over thirty years and a host of friends will join with the family and relatives in mourning her loss. She was a member of the Methodist church, having been converted in early girlhood at which time she joined the church and was a faithful worker until the time of her affliction over ten years ago. Since that time she has been unable to attend public services but she has never lost sight of the faith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband J.R. Smith, a son, Bert Smith of Wichita, and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Peter of Pawnee, Okla., all of whom were at her bedside when death came; two sisters, Mrs. M.A. Smith of Blackwell, Okla., Mrs. Eliza Jones of Iuka, Ill., and one brother, T.J. Craig of Washington.
The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. W.V. Burns, assisted by the Rev. H.E. Wark at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made at the Graham cemetery.
