NICHOLAS CAMP immigrated to America and was a free planter at Milford, Colony of Conn. as early as 1639. He drew lot #50 in the first division of land which contained 6 acres 1 rod and 20 poles. On Nov. 2, 1643, he joined the First Church of Milford.
He was married three times. His first marriage was in England to SARAH ELLIOTT and his third marriage was to, Katherine, widow of my ancestor, ANTHONY THOMPSON. His child with Sarah, NICHOLAS CAMP, JR., was my ancestor.
The picture at the left shows his name as a founder of Milford which was inscribed on the bridge over the Wepawaug River that runs through Milford.
