Mrs. Adelman was born October 18, 1912 in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and a lifetime member of Hadassah. She was a legal secretary and worked until her retirement for John Manning. She also worked part-time for Harold Melcher in her retirement. She loved playing cards with her girl friends and loved and enjoyed them all. She enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren.
Sophia was preceded in death by her parents, Abe Spillman and Anna Block Spillman, her first husband Benjamin Aaron and her second husband of many years, Charles Adelman.
Surviving is her daughter, Benita Aaron Hirsekorn and husband Jack. Grandchildren Richard and Alyse Hirsekorn, Marietta, GA, John Hirsekorn and his wife Jana of West Palm Beach, FL, Jill Hirsekorn of Charleston, S.C. and great-grandchildren Madeline Sophie Wood, Andrea Lauren Hirsekorn, Dana Rachel Hirsekorn, Andrew Hirsekorn, Erin Hirsekorn Hawkins and her husband Matt and Jennifer Hirsekorn Haislip and her husband Ben.
