Mrs. Nellie Anderson, 93, of Clovis, a bookkeeper, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1910, in Garza County, Texas, to A.B. and Ida Stewart.
She was born to a pioneering family in West Texas. She worked for years with her husband operating a grocery store in Southland, Texas, and at cotton gins throughout the area. She was a Baptist. Family members said her greatest pleasure was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; two sons, James Edwin and Gene; six brothers, Elish, Ernest, A.B., Fred, John and James; three sisters, Robbie, Julia and Oleta; and one great-grandson, Scotty Holloman.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Kelley of Clovis; two sisters, Dessie Lundy and Addie Bechtel, both of Oceanside, Calif.; grandchildren Zina Townsend and Kelli Mendez, both of Brownfield, Texas, Jerri Holloman of San Angelo, Texas, Terri McEntire of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Sam and Barry Kelley of Clovis.
The Rev. Doug Brooks will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Earth Memorial Cemetery in Earth, Texas.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis is handling arrangements.
