Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Mt. Mercy Chapel, Grand Rapids, for Sister Mary Benedict, who died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. She was taken ill while teaching at St. Andrew's School in Saginaw.
A teacher in Saginaw Catholic Schools, intermittently over a period of years, Sister Mary Benedict died on the eve of her 25th anniversary as a Sister of Mercy. She was stricken, after serving for five weeks of the present school year at St. Andrew's School, as an English and History instructor.
Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids."
