Elmer Beckley
Services for Elmer Beckley, 59, of 7790 Barbara Lane, Baldwinsville, who died Sunday in Veterans Administration Hospital, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gates Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 29 W. Genesee St.
Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident of the area. Beckley was formerly employed by the Syracuse University maintenance department. He served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Henry of Baldwinsville, and Elmer E. Jr. of Linwood, Livingston County; a daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Wheeler of Camillus; a brother, Walter, and two grandchildren.
