Barbara Sue Day, 53, of Main Street, Indian Lake, Hamilton County, died Sunday in South Carolina from injuries suffered in an automobile accident that day.
A native of Pioneer, Ohio, Miss Day also lived in Buffalo, where she graduated from Frontier Central High School. She later moved to Houghton, Allegany County, where she graduated from Houghton College.
Miss Day was employed more than 30 years with the Indian Lake Central School District, where she taught French and was a guidance counselor. She received her master's degree and certificate of advanced study in education in May from State University College at Plattsburgh.
Surviving are her parents, the Rev. Clair and Olive Day of Central Square; a brother, David A. Day of Saudi Arabia; two sisters, Constance A. Day and Carole H. Hoyer, both of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today in First Baptist Church, Indian Lake, the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Calling hours will be 1 to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Services will also be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Central Square Wesleyan Church, Mallory. Spring burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
Local calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Central Square Wesleyan Church.
Contributions may be made to World Missions through First Baptist Church, Indian Lake 12842.
