Pauline I. Eck

BUTLER, Ind. Pauline I. Eck, 85, of Butler, died Tues- day, Aug. 12, 2003, at the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
The daughter of Victoria J. (Collett) and Lloyd L. Beard, she was born May 10, 1918, at Hamilton. On Dec. 25, 1934, she married Charles L. Eck, in Waterloo, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2001.
A longtime Butler resident, she was owner and cook at the Coffee Cup Restaurant and was a charter member of Butler Eagles.
Surviving are a son, Jimmie (and wife, Glenda) Eck of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Helen) Snook of Garrett and Ruth Teegardin of Butler; two sisters, Agnes Suntken of Butler and June Jozefowicz of Montpelier; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; two sons, Jerry and Charles; two brothers, Clarence Beard and Donald Beard, and four sisters, Dorothy Dunham, Virginia Hart, Florence Lint and Vivian Warner.
Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. (all times are Indiana time) in the H.E. Johnson & Son Funeral Home in Butler.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ned Adams to officiate. Interment will be in the Butler Cemetery in Butler.
