Charles Edward Hostetler, 72, Roger St., Hooversville, died Aug. 13, 1979, at home. Born Feb. 26, 1907, Rockwood, son of Robert and Arimintia (Minkimyer) Hostetler. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters, and two brothers. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Birch; and these children: Clifford Birch, married to Jane Kelly, Mohnton, Pa.; Donald, married to Audrey Sarver, Hooversville RD 1; Larry, married to Joann Meyers, Hollsopple; Sandra, wife of Ray Shaffer, Hooversville; three grandchildren: James Birch, David and Jolene Hostetler. Brother of: Nora Gary, Jones Mills, Pa.; Myrtle, wife of Harry Gahring, Talmadge, Ohio; Minnie, wife of Carl Burkholder, of Garrett, Pa. Member UMWA 3061, Wilbur. Family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Harry Bassett. Interment, P.O.S. of Cemetery.
