Abby was another one of the best cats in the world. She was a Siamese cat that we adopted from a family friend, along with her sister Becca. They were both chocolate point Siamese and they were beautiful!! I gave Abby to my Dad as a Christmas gift in 1991. Well, she turned out to be my cat of course and she was spoiled ROTTEN! She preferred to be carried around like a baby and if you weren't holding her like that, she preferred to put her
paws around your neck and her face underneath the
hair on your neck. She was definitely a snuggle bunny. She slept with me most every night unless my Dad was able to steal her away. She and Minnie both usually slept with me. I was heartbroken with having to leave her back in 1999 when I moved her to GA, but she was used to being with my Dad. I'm not sure what happened to Abby in May of last year. My dad called to tell me that he found Abby laying outside my bedroom door one morning and she was howling, so he picked her up and she could not move her back legs. My guess was that she had had a stroke of some sort. So, he sat down with Abby in her favorite rocking chair and rocked her for about 2-3 hrs and she passed away in his arms. My dad was so heartbroken. For the next couple of months, when he would talk about Abby, he would cry. I think she might have also been lonely since Minnie was no longer there and she had been her playmate for almost 14 yrs. Rest in peace Happy (one of her nicknames). I still miss you to this day and no other cat will ever replace you. You were my baby and I'll see you again one day. Make sure you take care of DAD and Minnie until I get there.

When tomorrow starts without me, Don't think
we're far apart ... For every time you think
of me, I'm right here,in your heart.

Weep not for me though I am gone into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed.
For all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts,
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

I'M REALLY GOING TO MISS YOU

My little girl,
My little friend,
I'm really going to miss you.
It's going to be difficult without you.

For the rest of my life, am I going
to be thinking about you?
Oh, yes, I am,
But the time came when you had to go.

I'll miss you, my baby,
I'll miss you, my friend.
I promise my love for you will never end.

In your finest days, I was with you,
Now without you, things won't be the same.
But, there is a higher power that we answer to,
And you heard Him call your name.

I'm really going to miss you -
Miss everything about you,
Your cuddles and kisses.

I know you fought so hard to be strong,
I'm really going to miss you,
But I know you have gone to a higher place.

I'm really going to miss you,
Quietly sneaking your presents from
under the Christmas tree.
Jumping and bouncing on the bed,
Playing peak-a-boo,
as I tried to change the sheets.

I'm really going to miss you,
But, I know you've gone to a higher place.
Where you can breath freely and run
without tiring.

So chase that squirrel and look up all your family and friends.
'Cause my mind can be at peace now.
For you're in the presence of everything good.
Oh, the emptiness and pain.

I guess like they said,
we were the Siamese twins.
For when you were taken, along with you,
Went most of my Heart.
