The eldest of the three children of Vincent J. Manda (1902-1987) and Mamie Gagliano Manda (1906-1977), Angie grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School and Baton Rouge Business College. In 1947, she married T. Walter Yarborough (1922-1994), a son of Thomas Walter Yarborough (1887-1953) and Edna Maggie Segrue Yarborough (1897-1982). The wedding occurred at the home of the bride's aunt, with Angie's sister Barbara as maid of honor and Walter's brother Ted as best man. Angie and Walter raised five children: Thomas Walter (b. 1949), Robert Vincent (b. 1953), Mary Elaine (b. 1954), Stephen Jay (b. 1958), and Matthew (b. 1961).

Angie was the loving center of a large family of descendants and kin. Her indelibly sweet nature and generous heart gave her many friends. She was the one you could rely on to give you caring advice and soothe you by calling you "darling" in her lovely southern accent - and really meaning it.

Angie's little brother Vincent Jay died at only a year old, but she had a lifelong close relationship with her younger sister Barbara Ann. Their father, with his brothers Bennie and John Manda, established Manda Fine Meats, now a Louisiana legend, still in operation.
