CARROLL LOGSDON one of our prominent pioneer resident passed away at his home on Porter street Thursday night, Feb. 17th, at the age of 76 years. Mr. Logsdon was born in this county and resided many years near Blackburn coming to Marshall to retire about twenty years ago.
He is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters W. P.;
John A., Chas. N:, Everett, E., Carroll and Mrs. Harry Herndon, Blackburn; Mrs. C. H. Kane, Chicago; and Mrs. Holman Lee of New Franklin.
Mr. Logsdon was one of our best citizens, faithful to his church obligations as well as correct in his daily walks--a good neighbor, a loving husband and kind father.
Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday at 1 p m. by his pastor Rev. B. T. Wharton after which the remains were taken to Blackburn for burial.
