His brother,Private Andrew Boyd Ledlie also died on service and he is buried in the same churchyard.

They were sons of William and Jane ["Jennie", ] Ledlie [nee Henry] of Loughbrickland.They were married in the Newry district, Co. Down, in the summer of 1893.
