Mr. Ness had been in ill health for the past four years. Dr. H. Malcolm Read, county coroner, listed acute coronary thrombosis as the cause of death.
Mr. Ness was born in Red Lion, a son of the late William Franklin and Maggie Janette Schmuck Ness. Besides his wife, he leaves brothers and sisters, Martha M. Fake, James B. Ness, Emory F. Ness; Edna R. Ness Urey, Bellaire, Texas and Arthur N. Ness and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were at Burg Funeral Home in Red Lion, by the Rev. William W. Kopp, pastor of Springville Free Gospel Church, near Craley. Interment in Windsor Cemetery.
