Amelia Calvino, 80, of Park Avenue, a former hairdresser, died yesterday at Rhode Island Hospital after a week's illness.
She was the wife of Gaetano Calvino.
Born in Brockton, Mass., a daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna (Federico) Ferringo, she moved to Cranston 40 years ago.
Mrs. Calvino worked in Providence for 30 years before retiring.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, a sister, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
