Edna Delaney Blair, 86, of 465 East Greene Street, Waynesburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 1993, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1907, in Wadestown, W. Va., a daughter of George A. and Ella King Delaney.
Mrs. Delaney spent her early life in West Virginia and had been a resident of Greene County for more than 70 years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Waynesburg, where she was superintendent of the primary and junior departments for 40 years and served for many years on the church board.
She also assisted in the original Meals on Wheels program in Waynesburg and was an employee of the former Blair and Hampson Hardware in Waynesburg. She was also a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Wood W. Blair, whom she married May 18, 1927; a son, Richard A. Blair of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Candice Lee Leathers, Rodney Blair, W. Charles Blair, Tracy Lynn Blair and Terri Lea Blair; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William [Edith] Zimmers of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Hiram and LeRoy Delaney, both of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three sisters, Bertha Delaney, Kathryn Black and Mildred Nelson; and three brothers, William, Charles and Alfred Delaney.
