Blueberry was my sister's purplish blue parakeet, budgie. I inherited her when my sister, Brenda, passed away. On July 19, 2014, while I was on an ambulance call as an EMT, one of my cats managed to get into the room where my birds were. I came home to find the parakeets' cage toppled over. Cessna was all right, but no sign of Blueberry was ever found. I strongly suspect that she flew out a hole above the top of a window air conditioner. I only pray that wherever she is, that she is safe.
