SAMUEL BARRANCO, SR., age 86, of Whiteford, died at his home on February 3, 2003. Born in McComb, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Michael Vincent and Josephine Antoinette SaSone Barranco and the husband of 53 years of the late Sarah Lou Bishop Barranco. A resident of Harford County since 1928, he was owner operator of Sam��(TM)s Shoe Repair in Bel Air for 52 years. He had lived in Harford Senior Housing for 20 years and attended St. Margaret Church.

Mr. Barranco is survived by two sons, Vincent M. Barranco of Port Deposit and Samuel Barranco of Whiteford; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Varble of Madison, Indiana and Rose LeRocca of Manasas, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Mary T. Barranco; a brother, John Barranco of Dale City, Virginia; four sisters, Anna Trippy of Georgia, Pearl Purcell of Florida, Stella Souder of Bel Air and Frances Young of Bel Air; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a dear friend and companion, Dorothy Hummer. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Varble.
