When Joseph Davis was born on December 11, 1918, in Iredell, North Carolina, his father, Jesse, was 42 and his mother, Lula, was 36. He married 3 times. His first marriage(1940) he had one son with Ruth Helene Barrow on June 15, 1942 and named Michael Allen who had hemophilia. They lived in San Diego, CA. Mary and Michael continued to live in San Diego after she and Joe separated. Joe was in the Navy for two hitches, pre-world II and saw action in the Pacific. His 2nd marriage was to Anne Cox Singletary on 4-13-1952. His last marriage was to Mary (Deanie) in Fla. in 1966 . Joe was 5' 7", slender build with brown hair. He was a pilot for some years. Most of his career was in sales- Royal Typewriter, Bell- Tone. His last job was in maintenance for the apartment complex he lived in in Ft Myers Fa. He died on November 26, 1981, in Florida, at the age of 62 of mesatheleomia which he probably got from exposure to asbestos on his sub.
