COURTLAND - Avery Merle Cosby, 67, died Wednesday, March 23, 2006, at North Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Cosby, born Dec. 20, 1938, to the late J.W. Cosby Jr. and the late Leslie Lorene McMinn Cosby, was a retired self-employed brick mason and a member of Sardis Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Joyner Cosby of Courtland; three daughters, Tammy Cosby Darby and Sherry Cosby Bratcher, both of Pope, and Sandra Cosby Darby of Batesville; three brothers, J.W. "Bill" Cosby Jr., Robert L. "Bob" Cosby, and Charles M. Cosby, all of Courtland, and five grandchildren.
