Benford “Pete” Reeves, 67, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00:PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Coleman officiating and Bro. James Gardner assisting. Interment will be at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Reeves was born January 13, 1948 to the late Elmer Reeves and Laura Charlton Reeves in Preston, MS. He was employed with Northeast Mississippi Bottling Company for 19 years. In addition, he was a licensed and bonded electrician with the city of Columbus. He previously worked construction with C and F Electric, Davis Electric, Sunland Electric; and he was a former maintenance man with Johnson Tombigbee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters-Margie Bailey and Helen Simons; and brothers-William Reeves, Earl “Red” Reeves, Roger Reeves, and Ed Reeves.
Mr. Reeves is survived by wife- Gloria Fowler Reeves, Columbus, MS; daughters-Laura Barton, Las Vegas, NV and Melissa (James) Price, Steens, MS; son-Cody (Patricia Rast) Reeves, Columbus, MS; step grandchildren-Eliot Price and Naomi Price; grandchildren-Shelby Reeves and Jackson Shelby; and sister-Cora (Pat) B. Perrigin.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Perrigin, Jamie Reeves, Jody Reeves, Kevin Braddock, Keith Reeves, Cale Gustavsen, Bryan Fant, and Monroe Reeves. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stevin Sims, Glenn Baldwin, Mark Baldwin, and Employees of Clark Vending Company.
