George Adam Dawes, 7222 Charlotte street, died yesterday on the way to the General hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack at the Medical Center Prescription shop, where he was a pharmacist.
He was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, and lived here forty-five years. Mr Dawes was a registered pharmacist fifty years in both Missouri and Kansas. He was a member of St Elizabeth’s Catholic church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Helen A Dawes of the home; a son, George W [s/b Q] Dawes, Sikeston, Missouri; three daughters, Mrs Lucille DiCanzio, Arlington, Virginia; Mrs Rosemary Bales, 5910 Kenwood, and Mrs Adelia Spann, 8713 Booth; a stepson, Charles A Alig, 6220 North Askew; ten grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9 o’clock Saturday at the church; burial in Mount Calvary cemetery.
The rosary will be said at 8 o’clock tonight and Friday night at the Mellody-McGilley-Eylar chapel, Linwood and Woodland where friends may call after 5 o’clock today.
