Jahiem Twiggs, age 15, had a date with divine destiny and the time of his departure was Sunday, July 24, 2006. This untimely passing found his family and loved ones unsuspecting. Born December 29, 1990 to Regina M. Twiggs-Monell and Infinite Davis, his youthful life came to an end much too soon. Jahiem was a sophomore at Rensselaer Middle/High School. He was an active member of the school and community. He was a member of the track team and drama club. He volunteered his time at the Food Pantry in Troy and other community events. He was a great singer and dancer. In addition to his mother and father, Jahiem leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather, Carlos Monell; his five brothers, Aaron Twiggs, Nathan Croley, Imperial Davis, I. Divine Davis and Carlos Monell; four sisters, Radaisha Croley, Shavonna Croley, Aleyda Monell and Aaligana Monell; two stepbrothers, Elijah and Tre' Monell; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Keenan Twiggs; paternal grandmother, Patricia Davis. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, George Davis. He also leaves several aunts and uncles, a host of cousins, classmates, co-workers and a special friend, Amber, who will always feel the sunlight of his winsome smile upon them. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Baptist Church, 57-59 Second St. Calling hours Monday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. TROY -- A grand jury now hearing the case has numerous options in dealing with a 13-year-old charged with stabbing another teen to death July 24 in Rensselaer.
