Grace Janice Skarman, 85 of Ellsworth, died Tuesday, July 15, at the Ellsworth Care Center, Ellsworth, Wis.

Grace was born on Oct. 29, 1928, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Albert and Hilma Andrews. She was baptized at the hospital where she was born and confirmed at the Hartland United Methodist Church. She married Phillip "Skip" Skarman on April 6, 1946. Skip passed away on April 17, 1989.

She worked full-time for 30 years and part-time for three years for the Ellsworth Farmers Union Co-Op.

Grace enjoyed playing the piano, singing, playing cards and talking to friends. For many years Grace sang and played the piano for her son Curt, the staff and other residents of the Ellsworth Care Center.

Grace was a member of the Ellsworth United Methodist Church until its closing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Skip; son, Curt; grandson, Aaron; and siblings, Phyllis, Lyle, Hilbert, Gladys and Alvin.

Services for Grace will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, Wis. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bethel Covenant Cemetery, Ellsworth, Wis.
