Charles Guerrant was born in 1776 as the 7th child of Peter Guerrant, Jr. and Mary Perreau. He married Mary "Polly" Spencer on 13 Jul 1806 in Buckingham County, Virginia. Charles and Mary had 12 children. Charles was a Private in the Capt. William Jones Company, 4th Regiment, Virginia Militia during the War of 1812. He was granted land on 11 Oct 1837 in Franklin County, Tennessee for his service in the War. He died on 17 Aug 1851 in Franklin County, Tennessee. The location of his grave is not known.
