Fredrick Spaulding Klingler, 79, Kalispell, died Tuesday morning of natural causes at Kalispell Regional Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1910 in Rexburg, Idaho, the son of Fredrick Godfrey Klingler and Luna May Spaulding.

He attended schools in billings, Corinth, Shepherd, and Grass Range.

He was a Navy veteran and graduated from Beutal Business College in Tacoma, Washington as an accountant.

On November 2, 1935, he married Arzella Smith and to this union four daughters were born. One daughter, Merlyne Kaye, is deceased.

Fred and Arzella moved to Kalispell in 1946 to own and operate a dairy farm.

Fred founded and owned Klingler Lumber Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1983.

Fred is survived by his wife, Arzella, at the family home; three daughters, Linda K. Muhlestein of Mountain View, California; Cheryl K. Brown of Davis, California; and Kathleen K. Bonny of Clearfield, Utah; nine grandchildren, David Wayne Muhlestein, Kathleen Ann Wilson, Derek Wayne Muhlestein, Kaylynn Johnsen, Michael Murr Brown, Tanaya Lee Brown, Caleb P. Bonny, Jacob W.Bonney and Leigh Anne Bonny; two gread-grandchildren, Elizabeth Dane Johnsen and Douglas Fredrick Johnsen.
