Adam J. Nierenberger, 51, 5506 47th Ave., died Thursday at Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born May 5, 1920 in Waterloo, Wisc., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nierenberger.

He came to Kenosha in 1934 and attended local schools. From 1945 until 1951, Mr. Nierenberger was employed at the Iroquois Foundry, Racine, and from 1951 until his retirement, due to illness, in 1971 he was employed at American Motors Corp.

On April 17, 1948 he married Rose Perrine.

Mr. Nierenberger was a veteran of World War II, serving in the army's 416th Air Service Group from Dec. 23, 1942 until his discharge on Nov. 23, 1945. He served in the European-African-Middle Easter theaters. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Holy Name Society, and Knights of Columbus Council 973.

Survivors besides his wife are two sons, Anthony, Milwaukee, and Peter at home; two daughters, Theresa, Chicago, and Rita at home; five brothers, Michael and Mathew, both of Charlotte, Mich., George, Racine, and Joseph and John, both of Kenosha; and three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Paul, Mrs. Gerald (Ann) Aplin and Mrs. David (Helen) Bernhardt, all of Kenosha.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary.
